Beaks and Thunder

The pigs seem more at home today, they are getting used to us very quickly and came up to us to smell our hands. Grub climbed up onto the fence and leant over to stroke them, he seems scared of nothing. He stuck his hand into a cage with a cockeral in it yesterday and the cock went into attack mode and scissored his beak into Grub's finger. Cue crying and blood all over the place. Today he avoided the cock!

Rain and thunder today. I could see the clouds rolling in from over the hills.

3 little pigs

The 3 little pigs arrived yesterday. 3 months old with skin glistening in the sun. Our toddler Grub took to them straight away and wanted to stroke their noses. I looked at them and tried to see a joint of ham without success. We've called them Puck, Pickle and Pixle.

Norman the neighbour showed us a chicken that was just trying to crack its way out of the shell. Its little heart was beating so quick - Grub tried to help it on its way out by picking at the shell.
